Take in the scenic Spirit River Nature Area this fall during the Spirit
River Duathlon on Oct. 14, 2006. This event will traverse through
the trails through the Spirit River Nature Area and the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey

3 different races: Any of these races
can be entered as a 2-member team.
- Citizens division
- Sport division
- Kids division
Course Descriptions: (tentative)
Citizens Division: (ages 13 or greater)
- First Run: start with a 0.75 mile trail, single track.
Terrain on this portion will be more aggressive.
- Bike: this portion of the event will be approximately 5
miles of mountain biking through the area's rolling terrain. An ANSI
or Snell approved helmet is required.
- Second Run: completing the course will be a 1-mile trail
run over easy terrain of the Spirit River Nature Area.
Sport Division: (ages 13 or
greater) For the more experienced racer. The course is the same as
the citizens division except the bike is an approximately 8 mile course.
Kids Division (ages 12 or less):
- 0.33 mile trail run, easy terrain
- 0.5 mile mountain bike, rolling terrain. An ANSI or Snell
approved helmet is required.
Registration/Check-In
Check-in is from 8:00-9:00 am at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey
Community College. The Duathlon (both citizen and sport divisions) will start promptly at 9:30 am.
The Kid's race will start at 9 am.
Awards:
Awards for top finishers in the Duathlon will be presented following
the race at the Cambridge Campus. Awards will be presented for the
top finishers in the Kids race after all kids have completed the course.
Long sleeve T-shirts will be given to all Duathlon participants.
No
t-shirts for the Kids duathlon since it is a free event.
