Welcome!
Welcome to Humanities 1103: Appreciation of the Film as Art at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.  On this page, I will post messages to the class, answers to frequently asked questions that I receive through e-mail or see posted in our class discussion rooms, and extra suggestions for completing class assignments.  Remember to check this page frequently for these updates.  

I will be the only one posting messages to this page; however, you are required to regularly communicate with your group in your Discussion Room, available by clicking on Discussions on the navigation bar, above.  Asking and answering questions, making comments regarding class assignments, helping group members with individual assignments, and working collaboratively on group projects in the class Discussions forum are all important, because it is the primary way for me to assess your active class participation in this online format, a substantial component of your final grade. 

Students who are more actively engaged in the class via our online resources will not only be benefiting their own learning and the learning of others, but they'll be earning better class participation grades as well.  Both the quantity and the quality of postings will be assessed for grading purposes.  Please use our group Discussions rooms to your advantage.
