Psi Beta Links

Psi Beta is the national honor society in psychology for community colleges.  The national organization was incorporated in 1981 by Carol Tracy and is affiliated with the Association of College Honor Societies, the American Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Society. 

Anoka-Ramey's Psi Beta chapter was chartered on June 6, 1996.  The purpose of our Psi Beta group is to:

  • recognize students for their academic achievement and interest in psychology
  • provide opportunities for students to become more involved in the field of psychology
  • enhance leadership skills
  • increase faculty/student interaction outside of the classroom
  • benefit the campus and community through programs and service
Qualifications for Psi Beta membership:
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Psychology GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Completion of 12 or more semester credits of college work
  • Completion of at least one semester of psychology coursework
  • Payment of a once-in-a-lifetime national registration fee of $30 ($50 after 1/1/2001)
