The Constitution of the
Math Club of Anoka-Ramsey Community College,
Coon Rapids Campus



Article I: Name
The official name of this organization is Math Club of Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids Campus.




Article II: Membership
Membership and participation in this organization is open to all students and faculty members of Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids Campus.




Article III: Officers
Officers will be elected by the majority vote of the membership present at the first business meeting in April. Those officers elected in 2003 will begin their duties within the first month of the club's existence and will serve until April 30, 2004. Thereafter, officers will begin their duties on May 1 and will serve for one year. Outgoing officers are responsible for mentoring the incoming officers.

If an officer cannot fulfill his or her duties, the officer must resign. If an officer other than the President resigns, the club will elect a new officer. If the President resigns, the Vice President will replace the President and a new Vice President will be elected.


           A.   The President shall plan agendas, preside at all meetings, appoint
                 commitiees, communicate regularly with the faculty sponsor and other
                 officers, and vote in the case of a tie.

           B.  The Vice President shall take over all duties during the President's
                 absence and serve as Program Chair for the club.

           C.  The Secretary-Treasurer shall maintain a notebook that will include
                 minutes and agendas of business meetings, all correspondences approved
                 by the faculty sponsor relating to the club, and a list of all the activer
                 members and commitees. The Secretary-Treasurer will also keep financial
                 records and submit annual reports to the club.



Article IV: Executive Commitee
The Executive Commitee will consist of elected officers and the faculty sponsor.



Article V: Meetings
The club will hold at least one meeting per semester. The Executive
Commitee will set the time and date of the meetings.




Article VI: Finances

    A.  There are no membership dues for this club.
    B.  If this organization were to dissolve, all dollars would be
    returned to the Student Life budget.
    C.  All funds willl be kept in an account maintained in the
    Business Office at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
    D.  The Executive Commitee will submit a budget request to the
    Student Senate annually.


    Article VII: Amendment
    This constitution may be altered, amended , or repealed by a majority of the active members, following a second reading at a regular meeting, so long as the changes are in compliance with Anoka-Ramsey Community College's policies and procedures.
