Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a CSEMS scholarship, students must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee

  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Be a full-time student (enrolled in 12 credits or more each semester)

  • Be interested in pursuing a career in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or computer networking

 

 

Application Procedure

To apply for a CSEMS scholarship, you must submit the following components.

1. CSEMS Application Form

CSEMS Application Forms can also be obtained from the Institutional Advancement Office at the Coon Rapids Campus.

 

2. Academic Transcripts

Provide Academic Transcripts from your high school (if within the last five years) and/or previously attended colleges.

 

3. Financial Aid Application

Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor and demonstrate need. Use ARCC code 002332. You may submit your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

 

4. Essay

Prepare an essay describing past experiences contributing to your interest in pursuing a career in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Networking, and explain why a CSEMS scholarship is necessary for you to achieve this career goal.

 

5. Letter of Recommendation

Obtain a letter of recommendation from an instructor, work supervisor or colleague (non-family member).
